Being a bass player for over 30 years, I was always drawn to the percussive elements in music.  It always seemed to be a natural fit.  One day while listening and enjoying some tunes and tapping on the table, I thought, wouldn’t it be cool to have an instrument you could hold in your hand while playing along to your favorite music from your cell?

Fast forward… DRUMSNAP was born!

Drumsnap is played like a shaker but that’s really where the similarities end.  After working on the development of the instrument, it became apparent that I could play hi-hat type sounds while having complete control over the accents.  This allows the instrument to blend into any genre of music.  Playing it anywhere from a tight upfront sound to a whispering texture in the background.  “The uses are really limitless.”  After being blown away by the sound with the phone, I had to try it in the studio and “WOW” you can truly add texture to music like never before!
